Crane seafastening Mammoet

TWD was requested by Mammoet to design a boomrest and block-catcher for the seafastening of a PTC-4 crane on a barge.
The crane had to be installed as part of the construction of the Gorgon LNG export jetty on Barrow Island.

Both boomrest and block-catcher were constructed using existing steel profiles, which were readily available at the yard in Malaysia. To construct the boomrest also two unused jib (truss) sections of the PTC-4 crane were intelligently re-used.
