TWD aquires Amarcon Octopus motion analysis software

TWD recently acquired the motion analysis software 'Amarcon Octopus Office'. Octopus is a hydrodynamic analysis program for the calculation of seakeeping characteristics of ships and other floating structures. This software provides wave environment statistics and produces calculations concerning variables like accelerations, velocities, absolute and relative motions, and high girder loads. 

Such information optimizes the design process for maritime projects, as it allows TWD to calculate a vessel’s response to every seastate and predict the workability of offshore equipment at site. TWD is thus able to provide marine transportation and seafastening projects with designs of even greater accuracy and efficiency.
