Project Engineer

The Candidate
Temporary Works Design is looking for a technically and organizationally strong Project Engineer. The ideal candidate has a couple of years of working experience, and has a Bachelor or Master degree in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Marine Technology, Offshore Technology or Civil Engineering. Other technical fields can be considered. The following competences are required for a project engineer:

• Experience in design
• Advanced knowledge of mechanics (materials, stress design, stability, joints, actuators, etc.)
• Knowledge of engineering tools and aids, materials, standard solutions, and fabrication process
• Creative (conceptual solutions)
• Accurate (profound in checking and maintenance of engineering quality)
• Self-supporting
• Flexible (working under pressure, dealing with new situations and feedback)
• Overview (project management)
• Social skills (coaching of project members, communication with clients)
• Supportive (support ideas from others)
• Good understanding of the English language

As a project engineer you are at the heart of the company, involved in all parts of the design process. You are responsible for:

• Independent design of project specific equipment and systems
• Project planning, budget, and scope
• Reporting project status to client, engineering manager and other members of the project
• Supervision of engineers and draftsmen
