Naval Architect
The Candidate
Temporary Works Design is looking for an analytical and practical Naval Architect. The ideal candidate has a Master degree in Naval Architecture or Offshore Engineering and several years of working experience. The following competences are highly appreciated:
- Basics in mechanics (materials, calculus, stress design, stability)
- Skills in engineering tools (FEM, Marine simulation)
- Creative (alternative solutions)
- Accurate and eager to learn
- Flexible (working under pressure, dealing with new situations and feedback)
- Motivated and dedicated
- Knowledge of materials, standard solutions, and fabrication process
- Good understanding of the English language
As a naval architect you are responsible for the independent design of marine constructions. You elaborate sketches and ideas into calculation models. The job demands a collaborative team effort with engineers from different fields and disciplines working closely together.
